I haven’t had much experience seaming knits. So I figured now would be a good time to get my skills. I’ve done enough Kitchener stitch seaming that I’m quite comfortable(with a little reminder card of course). However seaming shoulders and doing mattress stitch confounded me and quite frankly scared me almost as much as the thought of steeking (which I haven’t tried yet either).

After a talk with another knitter and a few youtube videos ( thank goodness for youtube!!!). I started with my seaming.

I did have to redo this sleeve as somehow I managed to have too many stitches on one side. Working with a diagonal seam can be a bit tricky.

I did finally get it right and the seams in the finished sweater barely show it was like real magic!!!!! I thought the only way to get an almost invisible seam would be to work from the wrong side of the fabric.

Here’s to Magic!!!!! and One finished sweater that fits!!!!!!
